OFFSHORE CENSUS
SoS is on state visit and presents the new book “OFFSHORE CENSUS – Citizens of the State of Sabotage (Springer Wien/New York)” at the United Nations Organisation Vienna. Along with the book also relevant videos (2003-2011) will be displayed for the first time. The book contains a cultural topography by Irina Ulrike Anderl as well as texts by Alfred Goubran, Robert Jelinek, Didi Neidhart and Paul Poet. The main part of the book shows the portraits of the citizens of SoS.

State of Sabotage was founded as a sovereign state on the uninhabited Finnish island Harakka by the Austrian artist Robert Jelinek in August 2003. They have a flag, stamps, coins, and an anthem. But particularly the passport (designed by Austrian artist Heimo Zobernig) triggered a dynamism which catapulted the artists’ state all of a sudden into the field of political reality. (weiterlesen…)

Pieces of movement for orchestra
One of the most radical and most playful orchestral projects – the orchestral miniatures of the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra – are the starting point for the first joint project between the Tanzquartier Wien and the ORF Vienna RSO. Each in their individual choreographic style, five of the internationally highest-profile choreographers working in Austria – Claudia Bosse, Christine Gaigg, Chris Haring, Anne Juren and Paul Wenninger – will stage parts of this body of orchestral miniatures, to which more than 100 composers have contributed their works aswell the SoS Anthem.
